There’s good news for those anxious about the Money Heist spinoff and asking, ‘Will Money Heist have a sequel?’ At the end of September, Netflix announced at a press conference about going ahead with a spin-off of Money Heist, the English title of the hit Spanish series La Casa De Papel.
Money Heist Spinoff
The original Money Heist was unique because it was more than just an action series. It had adequate doses of drama, action, thriller, and romance that helped the series become a global sensation. The original Heist became a phenomenon that inspired Netflix to embark on a project to create a spin-off Money Berlin series. It’s not the first time that Netflix is expanding the franchise.
A First Look at the Trailer
Netflix has yet not confirmed the Money Heist spin-off release date. However, considering the production work has just begun in October, the Berlin Money Heist will most likely be released sometime in 2023. Netflix released a trailer for the prequel series Berlin which revolves around the character of Andres de Fonollosa and focuses on introducing the cast of the new series. Instead of the Professor and his team of eight that pull off the greatest robbery in Spanish history, as seen in the original Money Heist, the trailer confirms that Berlin is the central character of the new series, accompanied by five new members to form a group of six. The new characters are Keila, Roi, Bruce, Damian, and Cameron. The trailer provides insights into each of the characters, and there is a strong rumor about the return of the Professor, as he is Berlin’s brother.
