By adding a dedicated laser module, the S21 Ultra addresses the autofocus issue that plagued the S20 Ultra. In addition to the retooling that makes it a comfortable camera phone to recommend, it now comes with new telephoto lenses that set it apart from all other readily available smartphones. All focal lengths deliver lovely images with big on-paper specs. There is a good quality in the photos up to almost 30x, after which the quality starts to deteriorate. Furthermore, Samsung’s camera app, which balances features and ease of use, excels in low-light performance, selfies, and video recording.
