This year’s Dell XPS 17 is back with a drumroll, proffering workstation-grade performance in a chassis that’s parallel to many 15-inch notebooks. This huge XPS 17 laptop offers the largest and most immersive screen you’ll find on a laptop thanks to its massive 4-sided Infinity Edge display. For content creators and gamers, the XPS 17 stands out from its smaller siblings with more powerful graphics options. In addition, it offers excellent battery life for a 4K laptop, as well as booming speakers. The XPS 17 can be quite expensive once you start upgrading it, but if you’re looking for beastly performance and a gorgeous display in a stylish package this is one of the best laptops to buy. Unfortunately, the XPS 17 is still using Intel’s 10th Gen processors. This means our biggest XPS laptop is still waiting for Tiger Lake CPUs. Nevertheless, we hope Dell won’t let 2021 pass without updating the XPS 17 with 11th Gen Intel CPUs.
At least some versions of the Dell XPS series have been able to outperform the MacBook Pro’s performance in a portable chassis. Despite its larger size, the Dell XPS 17 focuses on providing excellent performance and an excellent display for folks who need something a bit more robust for work.
